One of the biggest challenges to finding the proper electronic enclosure is that there are no real size standards for the typical box. So one manufacturer may have a die cast box that is 3.2” x 3.2” x 3.1” and another may have a product that is close, but slightly different, say 3.1 x 3.1 x 3.2. On most manufacturer websites, if the user looks for the former, she will not find the latter. Bud’s product selector is different. Using sliders, it allows the engineer or buyer to load a range and then actually add ½ inch to each dimension to return as many possible options as possible. It also allows for a search by either the external or internal dimensions. Among its other features are the options to filter by material or NEMA/IP rating.
Once the search has been performed, the options are displayed with a product photo as well as a description of the product including dimensions, materials and other key features.
