They still provide excellent protection for you components. These are made from UL94-HB rated plastic and are only suggested for indoor use. The alternative material, an ABS/PC blended UL94-5VA, is UL listed through NEMA 4x and also meets IP66 standards. It has a service temperature range of -40C to +70C. They also can be ordered with clear lids (UL94-VO) making it easy to see displays or lcds without having to drill into the enclosure. Finally, it is available in a pc/pbt blended plastic material that is geared for outdoor applications and is therefore UV stabilized. All versions come with poured gaskets to provide seemless protection as well as with stainless steel wall mounting brackets and hardware.
